We’re trying to recruit new members who want to help out at Incident Base on SAR missions. Most immediately, we need people to operate the radio at IB, and to put coordinates (reported from teams in the field) into SARtopo on the laptop. No previous experience is required; the most important thing is a willingness to get up in the middle of the night at a moment’s notice and drive long distances in the dark and cold, then sit outside all night in the dark at a plastic folding table, hanging out with one or two other intrepid volunteers at Incident Base.
